Rok studios is set to drop their brand new Tv series this month and it is all about the Nigeria single ladies.
The studio is known for hit series like Husbands of Lagos and if we are to go by that alone then we should expect nothing but fun and excitement in this new material.
“Single Ladies” stars Annie Idibia, Mary Njoku, Grace Amah, Mercy Aigbe Gentry & Padita Agu. The series follows a group of female friends as they find their way through life and try to find the “Perfect Man”.
The producer of the Tv series, Mary Remmy Njoku plays the character of Elendu, a #SingleLady. She is a youth corper. She is almost always engaged. She is easily carried away by guys. Tochi is sassy, funny and deeply devoted to her big sister Mara. She relies a little too much on Mara.
Mercy Aigbe Gentry plays the character of Amarachi Elendu. A #SingleLady. Amara shortened to Mara is everything from a model, to an actress to a farmer, to a runs girl. Mara is industrious but superficial and fake. Mara believes that rich is a spec, just as men want big breasts or a fat buttocks. She is unapologetic in her quest for a rich husband. Her one soft spot is her sister. They are constantly squabbling
Grace Ama plays the character of Bidemi Badmus A #SingleMother who runs a successful restaurant. Bidemi is Kola’s on and off long time mistress and baby mama. She is desperate to settle down and raise her son with a father figure. Kola keeps promising to leave his wife for her. She is the lover who wakes her man up with breakfast in bed, a pedicure and massage while he watches football etc but will over turn a table of food and drinks in public if she is pushed to the wall.
Annie Idibia plays the character of Vera Fom. A #SingleLady. Vera is a very successful manager at a big insurance company. She is very confident ,sophisticated,Stern and a little too serious which is funny. She makes her friends laugh constantly but only mildly acknowledges that she is actually funny. She commands the respect of everyone especially the men she dates but they never stay, as they find her over bearing. She is frustrated. She is very generous to men and they often take advantage.
Padita Agu plays the character of Maimuna Adamu an events planner. Born Again Christian. She is “waiting on the lord for her own man”, but is not averse to adding feminine wiles to speeded things up. A hypocrite. She is easier on herself than others. Friendly and outspoken.
